Shipping policy
To ensure every arrangement is carefully handcrafted, we require sufficient preparation time.
- Orders placed before 12:00 pm may be delivered the following afternoon, subject to availability.
- Orders placed after 12:00 pm will generally be delivered within 1–2 business days.
- We do not guarantee same-day delivery.
If you need flowers for a specific date or event, please contact us before placing your order.
Large Orders & Event Flowers
For wedding flowers, grand opening flower stands, sympathy arrangements, corporate flowers, and large custom orders, we kindly ask for at least 3 days’ notice.
Larger events may require additional preparation time.
Delivery Area
We currently deliver within selected suburbs in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
If you are unsure whether we deliver to your area, please contact us before ordering.
Delivery Times
Deliveries are generally made during the afternoon or early evening on business days.
Exact delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
Recipient Availability
If the recipient is unavailable, flowers may be:
- Left in a safe location where appropriate;
- Left with a neighbour (where suitable); or
- Returned for re-delivery, which may incur an additional delivery fee.
Fresh Flower Availability
Because we use seasonal fresh flowers, some varieties may occasionally be unavailable.
If necessary, we will substitute flowers with similar blooms of equal or greater value while maintaining the overall colour palette and design style.
Delivery Delays
Velvet Thorn Florals is not responsible for delays caused by:
- Severe weather;
- Traffic conditions;
- Incorrect delivery information;
- Circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
